International Architecture Awards presented in Athens

The autumn of 2017 will see presentation of plenty of international architecture awards. First of all, on August 18 theChicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Designand theEuropean Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studiesannounced the winners of theInternational Architecture Awards. Here are some of the figures:75 winning projects, selected from among over300 entrantsfrom all five continents and fully28 different countries.
The awards ceremony will be held on September 8 during a gala evening at theContemporary Space Athens, which will also see the opening of a travelling exhibition "The City and the World" featuring the award-winning projects.
The judges of theInternational Architecture Awardshave selected projects on different scales offering a complete overview of the architects’ work and a demonstration that quality architecture is not entirely a matter of major projects and big budgets. The long list of winners includes only one Italian project,Il Maggiore Events Centre in VerbaniabySPA Architect.
